“My body is my temple, the Asanas are my prayers.”
B. K. S. Iyengar
My love for yoga is founded on its principles, so simple but at the same time so deep. Moving freely, undressed of any form of judgment and competition, allows me to reach my deepest self, to accept it completely and to love it. I’m a teacher, but that’s not how I like to define myself: feeling is personal, it’s individual. I can show you the practice, but the true master of yourself can only be you.
“Anyone can breathe. So anyone can practice yoga.”
T. K. V. Desikacher
Yoga For Skaters
The skater is constantly looking for the perfection of movement, track and balance. The control of the physical and metaphysical body is the first step towards the awareness of who we are and what we can be. A series of Asanas aimed and functional to improve stability, strength and flexibility. Mind control through the breath helps the athlete and not just the athlete not to lose focus on the goal: nowhere else but here and now!
Yoga is for everyone
What matters is not touching your toes or lifting your leg over your head, but finding that balance point in the position and, in all practice, that feels good. Yoga is for everyone, you don’t necessarily have to be a dancer, gymnast or skater. It takes very little: your body, your spirit and if you want the mat.
Yoga for Skaters yes, but yoga is always for everyone!
